    Srinagar (Full day Gulmarg excursion)

     After breakfast transfer to Gulmarg(By Road : 54 kms // 1hrs 30 mins one way) Gulmarg (Meadow of flowers ) is situated at a height of 8 800 feet above sea-level . Here you will witness the beauty of the nature of Kashmir set out like a painting on canvas, Gulmarg used to be the favorite hunt of the British in Summer and you will find the old fashion Hotels and shops still doing well in the village. Gulmarg has the highest 18 hole Golf Course in the World and has developed into a SKI Resort which opens every winter.

     Arrive and walk a bit over the meadows or experience a pony ride. You are bound to get mesmerized by the beauty and thrill of the place.

     Take a Gondola ride(Cable car) high above the meadows and snow covered slops of Apherwat and Khilanmarg mountains which provide a playground for the sky and adventure sport lovers . (Cable car operation is subject to weather condition and weekly maintenance. Cable car ticket is subject to availability)

     Later afternoon drive back to Srinagar en-route visiting the world famous Shawl and carpet factories. Carry a souvenir back home.

    Srinagar – Sonamarg (By Road : 80 kms // 02 hrs 30 mins)

     Visit famous Mughal Gardens Nishat ( Garden of pleasure ) overlooking the crystal clear emerald green waters of the Dal lake and then proceed to Shalimar ( Garden of Love ). Each one is more beautiful than the one visited before. You will walk along the terraced flower beds, pass splashing of fountains and marble pavilions, with snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas & Chashmeshahi (Royal Spring.)

     Post lunch transfer to Sonamarg (Meadow of Gold) Sonamarg, situated at an approx. altitude of 2800 mts, the place is surrounded by numerous five-thoudsander peaks, which only furthers the enigma of the meadow and the valley. Once upon a time, the place acted as a part of ancient silk gateways, but now the place is primarily known for the adventure opportunity as well as viewing various glaciers, high altitude lakes, Indus River, and many other wonders to get indulged in. On the way one can enjoy the beauty of the Sind valley. The blooming Valley has been chiseled over the ages by the mighty Indus river. Major trekking routes begin from here. Two Lakes – Gadsar and Satsar are on the periphery of Sonmarg. The very way- metalled road snakes through massive mountains laden with forests and firs. Sonmarg is sheer scenic splendour. Traversing through the 'Meadow of Gold' Sonamarg Hill Station in the state of Jammu & Kashmir it is not difficult to lose track of time being lost in the scenery of Nature's artistry. Some of these most delicate details are intricately woven in the valley. These elements are divine enough to allow its viewers enter in a kind of trance, as momentary as it might be.

    Sonamarg - Kargil (By Road : 125 kms // 03 hours 30 mins)

     After breakfast embark on a journey through one of the most picturesque winding pass route of the world to reach Kargil. Kargil is a town in the Kargil district of Ladakh region, in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is the second largest town in Ladakh after Leh. It is located 60 km and 204 km from Drass and Srinagar to the west respectively, 234 km from Leh to the east and 240 km from Padum to the southeast. The place shot in fame due to ‘The Kargil War’, also known as the Kargil conflict, which was an armed conflict between India and Pakistan that took place between May and July 1999 in this place as well elsewhere along the Line of Control (LOC). In India, the conflict is also referred to as Operation Vijay (literally “Victory”) which was the name of the Indian operation to clear the Kargil sector.

     En-route cross the very high but beautiful mountain pass – Zojila Pass and also visit the Drass war memorial built after India winning the Kargil war.

     Arrive and rest as you would have been quite tired traversing the most rugged and rough path.

     Upon arrival you will met by our representative and then transfer to Hotel for Check in. Complete day for rest and leisure to acclimatize followed by Welcome tea or Coffee at the Hotel. Acclimatize is a must as our body needs time to cope the sudden change in altitude in a span of just 02 hours flight time.

     In the evening visit to Leh Palace & Hall of Fame.

    LEH (Local sightseeing to Sham valley)

     After breakfast you drive downstream along the River Indus on Leh – Kargil Highway and start our sightseeing with Gurudwara Patthar Sahib. It is at an altitude of 3600 Mtrs, just 22 Kms from Leh and was constructed in memory of saint Guru Nanak Dev ji. Nestled deep in the Himalayas, A drive of another 4 km will take you to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity to your surprise. As you move ahead from Magnetic Hills, just before Nimmu Village, there comes a famous Confluence Of Two famous Rivers - Indus River coming from Tibet (left) and Zanskar River coming from Zanskar Valley (right). Zanskar River is known for its famous Chadar Trek. Later we drive back to Leh.

     Evening visit to Shanti Stupa & Leh Market.

    Leh – Nubra VIA KHARDUNG LA 18,390 FT. (By Road : 120 KMS /  5 HRS)

     Post breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable Road In The World) at 5,602 Mtrs / 18,390 Ft, around 39 km from Leh. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above sea level.

     Upon arrival in Nubra we check in at our Camp / Hotel for Overnight stay. In the evening you can walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world. A visit to a Ladakhi home can be arranged.

    Nubra - Leh (By Road : 120 KMS /  5 HRS)

     After an early breakfast we check out from the Camp and drive to Hunder where you have opportunity to ride on a bacterian camel (double humped) amidst the sand dunes of this high-altitude desert with snowcapped mountains on the horizon. Between Hunder and Diskit you come across sand dunes besides the road. Seen in isolation you could well be amongst the sand dunes of the Thar Desert in Rajasthan which is surprise effect of this place.

     It is indeed a strange sight since immediately on the left of the road is Rocky Mountains that characterize the Ladakhi landscape and in the distance can be seen snow-capped mountains. On the return, stop at Diskit which is the headquarter town of Nubra Valley. Stroll around the bazaar observing the shops and local people going about their daily chores. Diskit is famous for 515 years old Buddhist Monastery, lying magnificently situated on a hilltop, facing the entire Valley.

     Later we drive back to Leh in the late afternoon via Khardungla Top. On arrival at Leh you will check in to your Hotel.

     Rest of the day at complete leisure.

    LEH - PANGONG LAKE (By surface: 150 Kms/ Approx 5 Hours 30 mins)

     After an early breakfast we leave for Pangong Lake enroute visiting Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh. Further 5 Kms Driving through a picturesque landscape we reach Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village. After visiting above two monasteries we drive further towards Changla Pass 5486 Mtrs. The long easy ascent takes you to Changla pass through its winding roads passing through Sakti Village. Stop at the Changla Pass for a quick photograph session and drive down to the village of Tangtse, where you can relax for a cup of tea. Leaving Tangtse for Pangong you pass through few small villages of Changthang and finally you can have a sudden view of the Pangong lake situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 133 Kms long with half of its running the other side of the "Indo China Border". One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. After the success of a famous film shoot, this beautiful natural location has attracted more tourists from all over the world. Upon arrival we check in at our Camp near Pangong lake.

     Rest of the day be by your own. Enjoy the rugged beauty or walk by the amazing lakeside.

    PANGONG LAKE – LEH (By surface: 150 Kms/ Approx 5 Hours 30 mins)

     Morning at leisure to explore the beauty of lake and later drive back to Le. En-route visit Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Drive further to Leh and check in at hotel.

     Evening visit the local market for collecting souvenir and last minute shopping.

    Leh – Delhi ((By Flight)

     Very early morning wakeup call.

     Check-out and transfer to Airport for boarding flight to Delhi.

     Arrive Delhi and transfer to Hotel.

     Post lunch go for local sightseeing and to New Delhi and takes you to the new capital designed by Sir Edward Lutyens. Drive past the Presidential Palace and the Secretariat buildings- the centre of all government activity and down the main avenue. Then drive past the impressive Rajpath (Kings Way) to the World War I memorial arch, the India Gate. Later visit the famous Humayun’s Tomb built in 1565 AD followed by Qutub Minar, 72 metres high tower and the ruins of Quwat-ul-Eslam (Light of Islam) Mosque. End your Day by surprising yourself with Delhi’s most curious antique, the uncorroded Iron Pillar, which dates to the 4th century AD.

    Delhi ((local Sightseeing)

     Start sightseeing tour of Old Delhi with first visit to the magnificent Red Fort (Closed on Monday) built of red sandstone. Opposite the fort are the black and white onion shaped dome and minarets of the Jama Masjid, the most elegant mosque in India. Drive past Kotla Firoze Shah, ruins of an old fort of the 14th century and the Ashokan Pillar of 3rd BC. Then visit Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Continue driving through the old city and get to see the buzz of the daily life of the natives. If time permits make a visit to the local market to feel the local flavor.

     Check-out and Lunch at local restaurant/hotel

     After lunch visit local market for Shopping and collecting Souvenirs. Alternatively visit few more places of tourist importance.

     Later in the evening, transfer to airport for connecting onward flight. International flight check-in starts 03 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure of the flight
